When you choose wall panelling, you’re not just covering a wall – you’re shaping how your room feels, sounds and behaves every day. With WoodUpp acoustic wall panelling, you bring Scandinavian calm, warm wood and clear sound into your space in just a few hours.
Scandinavian wall panelling for modern, calm interiors
WoodUpp creates premium acoustic wall panelling designed and manufactured in Denmark. Our panels combine sleek Scandinavian lines, real wood veneer and high-performance acoustic felt to help you build beautiful, quiet and inviting spaces – at home or in professional environments.
Why choose WoodUpp wall panelling?
1. Design-led wall panelling with Scandinavian character
Our wall panelling is rooted in Scandinavian design: clean, minimal and refined. Each panel is carefully crafted so it looks as good up close as it does from across the room.
- Real wood veneer – Enjoy the natural depth and warmth of oak, walnut and other wood tones. The grain, texture and subtle variation make every wall unique.
- Elegant vertical slats – The slim, evenly spaced slats create a sleek rhythm on your wall, adding structure without overwhelming your interior.
- Tone-on-tone finishes – Choose from soft, neutral combinations that blend in or bolder contrasts that turn your wall into a statement feature.
The result is wall panelling that feels timeless. It pairs effortlessly with contemporary, Scandinavian, industrial or even classic interiors – acting as a calm backdrop or a striking feature wall, depending on how you style it.

2. Acoustic performance you can feel every day
Good design is not only about what you see – it’s also about what you hear. Our acoustic wall panelling helps you reduce echo, soften harsh sound and create a more serene environment.
- Sound-absorbing felt – Behind the wooden slats, you’ll find a layer of acoustic felt that absorbs unwanted noise and reverberation.
- Noticeably less echo – You’ll experience clearer conversations, less clatter and a more comfortable soundscape, whether you’re relaxing, working or entertaining.
- Performance backed by data – When installed correctly (for example with mineral wool behind the panels), our wall panelling can reach top acoustic classes and high NRC ratings, similar to professional acoustic solutions.
Think of the felt like a sponge that soaks up a large portion of the sound that hits it. Instead of bouncing around the room, the sound is gently absorbed, making your space feel calmer and more focused.

How wall panelling changes different spaces
Wall panelling for private homes
If you’re a homeowner, you know how much a single room can influence your everyday life. Wall panelling helps you create spaces that feel warmer, calmer and more intentional.
Living rooms
Turn a plain wall behind your sofa or TV into a refined feature. The wood slats add depth and texture, while the acoustic felt softens the echo of conversations, music and movies. You’ll notice a more intimate atmosphere and clearer sound.
Bedrooms
Use wall panelling as a headboard wall or behind a reading nook. The soft, tone-on-tone finishes bring a sense of calm and cocooning, while the acoustic performance helps reduce noise from adjacent rooms or corridors.
Home offices
In a home office, acoustic wall panelling can make a big difference to your focus. It cuts down on echo during calls, improves clarity for video meetings and makes the space feel more professional and composed.
Hallways and staircases
These areas often suffer from hard surfaces and long, echoing sound paths. Adding wall panelling turns them into design features while also softening the footsteps and everyday noise that travel through your home.
Simple installation
A straightforward DIY-project. Transform your space in no time.

Restaurants, cafés and hotels
In hospitality spaces, atmosphere is everything. Wall panelling adds warmth and character, while the acoustic felt helps keep conversations at a comfortable level, so guests enjoy their time without raising their voices.
Retail and showrooms
Use wall panelling to create refined backdrops for products, displays or brand storytelling. The minimalist slat design lets your products stand out, while the acoustic benefits make the space feel calm and premium.
Studios and creative spaces
For recording, photography or creative work, controlling sound is essential. Acoustic wall panelling helps tame reflections and echo, creating a more controlled environment without the industrial look of traditional acoustic foam.

Frequently asked questions about wall panelling
Wall panelling is a decorative and functional layer added to existing walls. WoodUpp wall panelling combines wooden slats and acoustic felt to improve both the appearance and the acoustics of a room.
The felt behind the wooden slats absorbs sound waves that would otherwise bounce around the room. This reduces echo and reverberation, making conversations clearer and the overall sound more comfortable.
Yes. Many customers install our wall panelling themselves using basic tools. The panels are designed for DIY-friendly installation, and we provide clear guides and tutorials to support you through the process.
You can use our wall panelling in living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, home offices, offices, meeting rooms, restaurants, hotels, studios and more. It works on both walls and ceilings, as long as the surface is suitable for fixing.
The acoustic felt in our panels is made from recycled plastic, and we use real wood veneer selected with a focus on responsible sourcing. We continuously work to improve our materials and processes.
Maintenance is simple. Dust the wooden slats regularly with a soft cloth or vacuum with a brush attachment. For light marks, use a slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
Our wall panelling is primarily designed to improve room acoustics by reducing echo. When combined with additional insulation behind the panels, it can also help reduce some transmitted noise, but it is not a full soundproofing system.
Many renters use wall panelling as a reversible upgrade, depending on their lease and local regulations. Installation methods that minimise damage to the underlying wall can make removal easier later. Always check with your landlord first.
